Prepare a K-Pop Audition Video:
Lighting, Framing & Recommended Song List

Start with the current notice for your exact program and category. There is no universal video length, camera orientation or song restriction, and this checklist cannot guarantee selection.

📹 1. Camera Framing & Orientation

🎤 Vocal & Rap Category

Keep your face and performance visible. Check whether your exact notice requires a particular framing or an unaccompanied performance before recording.

💃 Dance Category

As a practical recording check, keep your movements in frame. Use the orientation and required views stated in the program notice.

KOZ lists different materials by category. These requirements apply to that notice, not every agency or audition route.

The lists below are editorial practice ideas, not agency recommendations. Pick material you perform comfortably and check the notice for song and accompaniment restrictions. Do not assume that songs by an agency’s own artists are prohibited.

⚠️ Three Checks Before You Submit

1Filters and editing: Follow the notice. KOZ asks for a regular camera and says editing apps hinder evaluation; do not infer an automatic rejection rule for every agency.
2Audio: Listen back for distortion and background noise. Check whether your category requires unaccompanied vocals before adding a backing track or effects.
3Length and upload: Use the category-specific duration and file or link method. KOZ’s vocal verse and one-minute rap/dance requirements illustrate why a universal one-to-two-minute rule is unreliable. If a limit is missing, ask the official contact rather than inventing one.
